This is a well-balanced natural processed coffee with strawberry, cantaloupe, and lemon candy notes. Not overly jammy. It is an everyday coffee for people who like fruit-forward Ethiopian Coffees.
Brewing recommendation: Drip and pour over with a paper filter and Espresso.
The Story
Kossa Geshe is located in Western Ethiopia’s Limmu Kossa District, in the highlands of the Kebena Forest. This 1,000 hectare farm was established in 2009 as a land grant from Ethiopia’s investment agency to safeguard some of the last remaining dense forest in the country. Abdul runs the show. His first harvest was 2016 and Crop to Cup has bought every bean since, entranced by his qualities and the cup characteristics from day one.
Using an empty barrel from our Frey Ranch Single Barrel pick, we worked with Coffeebar roasters to roast these premium Ethiopian coffee beans to create this bespoke whiskey barrel-aged blend. The result is an exceptional fusion of coffee and bourbon flavors, elegantly presented in our co-branded packaging—a proud partnership between The Prime Barrel and Coffeebar.
