After two acclaimed releases of Indiana-distilled Raconteur Rye, we discovered a special lot of eight-year-old 95/5 rye whiskey from Bardstown, Kentucky. Inspired by its exceptional profile—caramel, sweet spice, and honey-drenched citrus—we knew it was destined for greatness. To elevate this already extraordinary whiskey, we gave it a finishing touch in Mizunara oak casks, a rare and revered wood known for its rich, layered qualities.
The result is a masterful blend of Kentucky high-rye’s lively sweetness and Mizunara oak’s exotic woodiness. Batch 3 is a harmonious marriage of straight rye whiskey and cask-finished rye, creating a rye lover’s rye that’s both nuanced and unforgettable.
