The flavor arc of the Pinhook Bourbon Vertical Series has now reached 10 years.  This exclusive single barrel was distilled in August 2015 by MGP in Lawrenceburg, IN, and aged at Castle and Key in Frankfort, KY.  Bottled at cask strength of 118.3 proof from a mashbill of 75% corn, 20.5% rye, and 4.5% malted barley, this exquisite barrel underwent a full decade of careful aging.  

The eye-catching dark red hue of this barrel immediately caught our eye.  From the first pour, it more than lived up to the color with a nose reminiscent of a memorable visit to a rickhouse, a sweet, spicy, and complex palate, and a long, pleasant, classic MGP finish to savor.
