Our first Old Elk selection seduced us by having a very similar profile to Welle 12 yo. In fact, in a blind tasting, some of us had a tough time distinguishing between the two. It stands to reason, as well, because both have wheated mashbills, and if you are a fan of wheated bourbons, this one should be right up your alley.

Mashbill is the custom wheated mashbill Greg Metze did for Old Elk while at MGP. In other words, the barrel was laid down at MGP, but it's a custom mashbill specifically for Old Elk (and now The Prime Barrel).
