Laws Whiskey House "We Love Farmers" 7 Years Four Grain Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey The Prime Barrel Pick #82

We're excited to announce our next drop: a fantastic 8-year-old four-grain bourbon from Laws Whiskey House. This barrel boasts a fascinating backstory. During our visit, this particular barrel stood out as the unanimous favorite amidst numerous tastings. Originally designated as a "Farmer" barrel to be returned to local grain producers, Laws was so impressed by its quality that they kept it for extended aging.

However, it wasn't available for selection at first. The lingering taste, reminiscent of Stranahan's, stayed with me, leading to a successful negotiation at an industry event in NYC a few months later. Thanks to a bit of fun and persuasion, Laws agreed to release it to us.

This bourbon, with a lower yield due to its age and proof of 136.8, drinks remarkably below it. It's an extraordinary find we're eager to share.

Tasting Notes:

Signature aromas of orange blossom and peel, black tea, honey, cinnamon, and vanilla custard with a finish of sweet tobacco, baking spice, and pepper.
