Kings County Distillery 7.5 Years Old “Kings Of New York Part 2” Barrel Strength Bourbon The Prime Barrel Pick #31

Our summer 2022 Kings County selection is here! We've seen the distillery's growth over the years, being in their proverbial backyard (we are both based in Brooklyn) and being one of their early customers. Because of the special relationship we were able to forge, we sometimes get to pick barrels "off-schedule". This was one such barrel, but we could not be happier with how it turned out. Getting up there in age now, this is a 7.5-year-old selection that was aged in a smaller 30 GL barrel. Bourbon matures faster in smaller vessels, and this one indeed drinks older than an already respectable age statement it carries.
