The Prime Barrel has achieved another first with Glenn’s Creek Distilling.  We’ve secured the first-ever Single Barrel of SWHEAT Bourbon to leave the distillery. 

SWHEAT is the wheated version of Glenn’s Creek OCD #5, swapping out the rye for wheat to give a softer, sweeter, richer palate.  SWHEAT is handcrafted from the same proprietary yeast strain resurrected from the historic Fermenter #5, the same in-house-fabricated pot still, and aged in a heavy-toast, Char 3 Kelvin barrel.  Minimal filtration preserves the full oils, texture, and barrel-driven character.  

Distilled from a mashbill of 85% corn, 10% red winter wheat, and 5% malted barley on the legendary grounds of the former Old Crow Distillery, SWHEAT delivers heritage and intensity in equal measure.  This barrel leans into the signature bold, oily mouthfeel and rich, oak character that Glenn’s Creek is known for.  

Aged for 52 months and bottled at cask strength 104.2 proof, SWHEAT hits the sweet spot where distillate personality meets deep oak barrel influence.
