While filming an episode of The Prime Barrel Academy YouTube series, our crew stumbled upon a gem during a power outage at the Copper & Cask warehouse. Exploring the warehouse, a few members came running back excitedly, holding a sample so dark it resembled motor oil. What they found was a barrel of the famed "Florida-aged MGP juice," known for its unparalleled depth and complexity. It was a unanimous decision—we had to have this barrel.

Why Florida Matters:

Florida's hot and humid climate accelerates the aging process, resulting in deeper oak extraction and bold, complex flavor profiles. Unlike traditional Kentucky aging, the high temperatures in Florida enhance the interaction between the whiskey and the wood, leading to an intense concentration of rich flavors and tannins.
