NULU Double Oaked "Double Oaked Seven" Straight Bourbon Whiskey The Prime Barrel Pick #32

Looking back to our first #singlebarrelexpedition in KY, this is where it all began. Prohibition Craft Distillery was the first one on our trip where things went from virtual to in-real-life. It was a place of our first in-person interaction with members of our club, and it kicked off an excellent (and fruitful) trip, as well as a great tradition of involving our members in our in-person barrel picks.

We've tasted through a litany of barrels and selected the 5.5 Double Oaked high-rye (36%) bourbon expression. The C209 barrel we chose was the best-tasting one with a great nose, very balanced and rich palate, and a true "Kentucky Hug"-type finish.

Here's what you can look forward to with this bottle:

• Nose: Toasted oak, tanning hide, cigar paper, vanilla, cherry pie, apple strudel, graham cracker
• Palate: Toast, banana foster, hazelnut, cinnamon
• Finish: All-spice and green peppercorn

As usual, parts of the proceeds from every barrel we select go to support charities our Discord community suggested. This barrel will help the MS Society, also known as the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. By contributing, our club will empower those affected by MS to live their best lives while, as a society, we seek to cure this disease.
