Lucky Seven 14 Years Old "What's In The Bottle?!" Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey The Prime Barrel Pick #36

The road to this selection was long and winding, but the selection is finally here. We've tasted many prior Lucky Seven 14 yo barrels, most of which are solid. This one was by far the best yet, and it's not just a marketing thing. The aged Kentucky juice (the distillery does not disclose its sourcing) is luscious, refined, and tasty. Since the brand does not reveal much about the liquid (i.e., mashbill, distillate source, barrel char level, etc.), we could not tell you much about the provenance other than it tastes incredible - and that's all that matters. We did have a little fun playing off this fact and the brand's name with the "tater sticker" theme - you'd recognize a great movie and a famous line from it being very apropos for this bottle. 

What to expect from this release:

• Nose: baked pear, puff pastry, butter cream, leather
• Palate: citrus, dates, pecans, vanilla, marshmallow, all-spice, and toast
• Finish: long finish with hints of cinnamon and BBQ burnt ends

As always, we will donate $5 from each bottle to a charity. This one will go to First Place For Youth charity. The organization is dedicated to helping foster youth achieve long-term success in adulthood. They do this by running regular Independent Living Skills Programs where youths can receive access to community resources, as well as education and career advice. First Place For Youth also runs My First Place, which provides young people with rent-free housing in shared apartments for the duration of their involvement in the charity’s educational and healthy living programs.
