The Prime Barrel Picks

I love Prime Barrel because whether I join the pick myself or trust the team to make the call, I know they’ll come back with an incredible bottle every time.

In addition to the fantastic barrel picks the club has access to, there’s also a “know a guy, who knows a guy” factor that helped me secure two bottles I’d been trying to track down for my collection. Great group of people, transparent communication, and top notch whiskey.

Rich dark color with a fantastic mouth feel. I get toasted oak and caramel on the nose with some cinnamon. After it opens up a while I also get some cherry cola. The palate is very rich with allot of toasted oak along with cherries, maple syrup and baking spices. The finish is long with pepper spice, but the sweetness of the maple syrup coats the tongue and remains all the way through. All the flavors in this bourbon are so rich and concentrated. The Prime Barrel is the first barrel selection club I’ve found worthwhile. I took a flyer a few months back on a couple of their bottles and was very pleasantly surprised, so it’s been “down the rabbit hole” ever since with their awesome selections. The Discord community is fantastic, and their shipping prices and quality are the best I’ve seen.

I am so impressed with the Senator senate stuck. I have shared it with several whiskey lovers and all were blown away. I saved it to open with my brother.
