The Story
Nestled on the shores of Lake Atitlan in San Lucas Toliman, the Ija’tz cooperative supports local farmers by purchasing harvested coffee cherries at prices above the street market. This coffee has been a key component of our Feliz Holiday Blend for years but now shines as a single-origin offering. "Ija’tz" comes from the Tz’utujil language, meaning ‘seed,’ honoring its roots in Mayan culture.

Using an empty barrel from our Frey Ranch Single Barrel pick, we worked with Coffeebar roasters to roast these premium Guatemala coffee beans to create this bespoke whiskey barrel-aged blend. The result is an exceptional fusion of coffee and bourbon flavors, elegantly presented in our co-branded packaging—a proud partnership between The Prime Barrel,  Ija’tz, De la Gente, and Coffeebar.
